Free Pattern Friday - Reusable Crochet Cotton Facial Scrubbies

Do you like my new segment? Free Pattern Friday! I like the sound of that. Today I'll be sharing how I made my reusable cotton facial scrubbies! I use these for removing my makeup, washing my face, and applying astringent or essential oils to my face. They are 100% cotton, washable, and SO easy to make. You'll see.

Pattern by Ashley Ludlow

What you’ll need:
  • ·         4-ply worsted weight 100% cotton yarn
  • ·         Size J or 6.00 MM crochet hook (you can use any size hook you’d like!)
  • ·         Yarn needle
  • ·         Scissors

What stitches you’ll need to know:
  • ·         ch – chain
  • ·         sl st – slip stitch
  • ·         puff st – puff stitch (y/o, hook into the st, y/o, pull through and lift up – leave some slack, y/o, hook into the same st, y/o, pull through and lift up, y/o, hook into the same st, y/o, pull through and lift up, y/o, pull through all loops on the hook, secure with ch)

Instructions:

ch 3, sl st in first ch of the row to create a loop
*optional – pull yarn tail behind the hook and align with the loop so you can crochet over the top of it.

Rnd 1) ch 1, 8 puff st in center loop (see how to do the puff stitch above in BOLD), sl st into the space between the 1st and 2nd puff stitches.

Rnd 2) ch 1, 2 puff st in same space, 2 puff st in next ch space and in between every puff stitch from the previous round (16 puff st), sl st into the space between the 1st and 2nd puff stitches of that round, finish off and tie or sew in the ends.

See? How easy was that?

You can make these in any color or size you want! Have fun with it.

Have a great weekend!

Miss Abby

Yet another Abby Cadabby inspired hat I wanted to share. She's a popular character! I really love how the colors pop. Such a sweet hat. This would be perfect as a birthday present or a baby shower gift!

I am working on getting this one written down in pattern form for all of you crocheters out there!
Hang tight for that, but until then, you can get your Abby hat here:
